Key Lesson 1: Critical details
When bringing on a new client, we asked Fireflies.Ai to search the meeting transcript and dig up crucial document names that we needed access to. The bot didn’t find the document name (due to slight mistakes in transcription) but it was easy to find the exact time stamp and audio snippet to double-check the details. In summary, sorting through the transcript allows you to pinpoint important bits of information.
Key Lesson 2: Flexible but can feel intrusive
Fireflies.Ai wowed us with its many integrations, like jumping into Google Meetings to transcribe. But watch out—its entry request can mess with the meeting vibe. If you are going to use Fireflies.Ai you have to prepare clients and co-workers so as not to spook anyone. Another cool feature is the Hubspot integration – meaning you can keep your client info in one place. Not bad Ai note taking!
Key Lesson 3: Prompt and thou shall receive
When asking Fireflies.Ai for key actions from a meeting, we got a fuzzy list. After some interaction and tweaking of the prompt, we got closer, but it still missed some key nuggets of information. As you may have discovered with our previous AI blog, you have to double-check and prompt properly.
Key Lesson 4: Practice Makes Perfect
Using Ai note taking platforms is like any skill—you get better with practice. Like any piece of productivity software, it’s up to you to integrate this successfully into your workflow. So don’t expect Fireflies.Ai to revolutionise your efficiency over night!
Conclusion
Fireflies.Ai proved to be a fantastic piece of kit with some minor limitations. While the application’s capabilities were excellent in transcribing meetings and allowing users to search for important information, some issues arise in terms of the precision and ability to retrieve information in granular detail such as vital, post meeting actions. However, for general overviews, catching up on meetings or sharing key soundbites, the team at YS, was impressed. Ai note taking is definitely something we will keep an eye on as it develops.
